It's 8:47 PM EDT, and we're just clearing 1016 miles. Ray's driving us into Des Moines at the moment; I had my first full-length stint before that. The landscape is alternating a bit. At the moment we're looking at rolling hills with trees; every once in a while it swtiches to moderately large patches of farmland. The HermanoTracker tells me we're just passing Newton IA. Not much going on otherwise.
