Sioux City, IA

It's 1:17 AM EDT and we're in a hotel in Sioux City, Iowa, about 90 miles further than The Plan called for. Dinner at IHOP was tasty and very timely (around 11:30 PM local time). We're tentatively considering planning our dinners a bit further ahead of time, to avoid future instances of 'oh, right, restaurants tend to close at night' (that was me).

All in all, we spent about 12 hours driving today, in 3 hour shifts, covering a total of around 790 miles. We stopped at Wendy's for lunch, but ate in the car. Aside from that we only stopped for gas and driver switches until we got to Sioux City. This should give us a bit more flexibility in the upcoming days. And now it's time for sleeeeep.

Here's a picture of Ray typing feverishly on his iPwn. See what I have to put up with?

  1. Only twelve hours a day? :-)

Are your bikes still on the back of the car? I'm having trouble imagining how the two of you packed all of your things into the Jedi.

  2. Wes, didn't you see how Pieter travels all the time? 1 pair of jeans, probably totally worn out, 2 t-shirts, 1 or 2 pairs of socks (or just 4 socks, hahaha) and if he can't help it some underwear. The rest of the room is for Ray!!
